Live at the Ambassadors was Eddie's first show to be released on video
This video was filmed in London and was Eddie's start of his climb to fame. He experiments with ideas which he uses in later shows but is not as good as these later ones. Hard to get hold of but worth it if you can as it has many strong points.

Unrepeatable

Eddie’s second show was Unrepeatable.
This video was filmed in London and contains some of his most famous sketches about cats drilling and dog that are unhappy with their wash. An improvement from Live at the Ambassadors and definitely worth buying.
Rating: 8/10

Definite Article

Definite Article is one of my personal favourites out of all of Eddie’s shows and was the third to be released on video.
If you haven't seen this video then you're missing out on the funniest comedy exhibition I have ever seen. It is even more surreal than his previous shows and will make you laugh for the whole 2 hours.

Buttons!

On the opening night of 'Definite Article' in the West End, a button fell off his suit. He said,
"An actor would have kicked it to the side of the stage. I thought I'll talk about this.
Then I tried to pull the thread off but couldn't get to it.
Someone threw a pair of scissors on stage, then someone threw a sewing kit. I said 'good heckle'. I knew I had to do it.
Once you commit as long as you finish you'll be fine, so I sewed the button back on and talked about my granny and her sewing.
That's what I learned from street performing, all you had to do is finally do it"

Glorious

The forth of Eddie’s string of amazing show is Glorious.
Filmed at the Hammersmith Apollo, London, Glorious has groovy scenery and music which impresses before Eddie even comes on stage! Eddie tried to start and end on the bible. It begin with his version of the beginning of time and he tackled subjects such as The Grim Reaper, showers, and the siege of Troy in his usual surreal way through the show. Extremely funny, worth the money to buy the video and will have you rolling on the floor with laughter by the end!

Dress to Kill

Dress To Kill was released in 1998 and was recorded in San Francisco.
Proving that he can perform abroad just as well as in Britain, this video is 2 hours of brilliant performing and side splitting hilarity. He covers topics such as Stone Henge, religion, sex, and history! A must have for all Eddie fans.
Rating: 10/10

For Dress To Kill, Eddie Izzard won an Emmy Award for Best Writing, Variety or Music and Best Performance, Variety or Music at the 2000 Awards! Well done Eddie!
